A peaceful run at God's own place- Vrindavan

Image
If you want to feel the place, just run it! Again Vrindavan for the 5th time :) Plan was to visit 'Prem Mandir' at night and just roam around.                                                                                              Prem Mandir After completing the planned visit we checked-in at hotel. Before falling asleep , just thought wouldn't it be a great idea to do a long run tomorrow. First my mind said "No! You have to drive way back to Noida also" then my heart interrupted "No..No. you can do it. It would be HR based run so not much toll on the body"... My confus...

Those two runs- Rohtang and Manali

Manali was not a new destination for any of us! We (Pal, me and amresh bhaai) all were well acquainted with the place. When I came up with the plan for manali, everybody had his own reason to visit the place again. Pal needed a break from work and wanted to sit in the valley facing room with a cup of tea where nobody else but nature could interrupt him. I wanted to go because i wanted to travel. Amresh bhaai wanted to go because he desperately wanted a run which could be life-time experience. So, we decided to get into the volvo. The eyes got opened when continuous burbling sound of stream of beas river reached our ear. Wow! we were in the wide open green valley of Manali. Fresh air! Green devdar trees! Flowing rive! What more we could have expected. After putting our luggage in the hotel we decided to go to solang valley! As per planning we kept our shorts in bag to do a 5K in solang. Thinking about it is itself more than exciting and we were about to do i...

Running in nature - 'Pangot Run'

If you want to feel the place, just run it! This time its 'Pangot', a village 18Kms away from Nainital in kumaon region of uttarakhand. It was all of a sudden plan to visit some colder place nearby. My wife ringed me on Friday if we could go somewhere as its too hot in Delhi. "Search some offbeat place but not more than 300KMs one way" I responded. She chose Pangot and we both agreed. At 1 am we left Noida to avoid traffic on NH24 because of ongoing constructions. At 9 AM we were in Pangot, such a serene place! Would recommend 100% must visit if you are not very fond of  crowded mussorie, shimla, nainital, manali etc. A place full of green forest and hundreds of bird species chirping all around! One mistake we did was we reached without bird watching scope! Its a must for this place. Pangot forest: Every time we visit any place, i come prepared with running shoes and watch that I will run the place but it never happens (Yes! I am the lazy ...
